Mrs. Sheila McAlpine is
passionate about American Sign Language. She has completed
ASL levels 1-5 at St. Paul Technical College where she is
currently enrolled in the Sign Language Certificate. Together with her husband, they
home educate their two children. They are a bilingual family
using ASL and English to communicate with their
deaf daughter and hearing son. She is also teaching ASL at Faith homeschool co-op in Oakdale. She has joined The
Academy in 2009 to share her love of ASL with the students
of YEAH Academy.
