| Bio:
Mrs.
Rebekah Jones earned her B.A. in English literature from
Taylor University and her teaching certificate from Washington
University. She spent three years teaching English and
then four years teaching computers and writing computer
curriculum. She has taught students at the elementary,
middle and high school as well as community college levels.
Cooking is a passion that she has cultivated since her youth,
learning from her grandmother, mother and godmother. She has
been cooking a catering since middle school and teaching
cooking classes combines two of her favorite passions:
teaching and cooking. She believes that sharing a meal
together, be it within the family or as a part of hospitality,
is vital for everyone. Sharing her passion for food and
the creative process of planning and preparing meals a
lifelong passion. Mrs. Jones and her husband home
educate their three elementary school age children. Since
adopting them from Vietnam, she has had a personal interest in
learning to prepare traditional Vietnamese dishes. Mrs.
Jones has tutored at The Academy since 2008.
